Long Range Commercial Mobile Radio | Motorola GM338 Vehicle Two Way Radio
Motorola GM338 mobile two way radio provides reliable long-range communication for commercial fleets, construction teams, and security services. Commercial-grade durability ensures performance in harsh work environments.
Engineered for harsh work conditions, the Motorola GM338 mobile radio features a rugged build that resists dust, vibration, and temperature fluctuations—key traits of a true commercial grade two way radio. Its long-range signal capability ensures seamless connectivity even across large construction sites, logistics hubs, or security patrol areas, outperforming standard consumer radios. The vehicle-mounted design of the Motorola GM338 allows for easy installation in trucks, vans, or service vehicles, with intuitive controls that minimize operation time for busy teams.
Product Information
GM338 is a sleek large control panel design designed by Motorola, with no right angles visible throughout the entire control panel. Instead, it features simple curved lines. The size of the LCD display screen is also much larger than that of Motorola’s mobile radios in the past, and it can finally display dot matrix text instead of the red LED channels on those machines in the past. Although it is displayed on a single line, it can display 14 characters per line, and the signal strength can also be displayed through symbols. Various work icons are available, making this improvement really exciting compared to several older models of Motorola mobile radios. The control buttons have been expanded from a maximum of 4 on previous models to 9, and the button area is also larger than in the past, making the feel quite comfortable.
GM338 continues Motorola’s tradition of simple functionality and powerful performance, so although it is a top-level mobile radio, it is only a single segment machine. At present, the models on the market are divided into two types: the 2m band (VHF) and the 0.7m band (UHF). The two meter band models operate in the frequency range of 136-174MHz, and the 70cm band models operate in the frequency range of 403-470MHz, with a standard operating power of 25W. The menu of this machine is also very simple, even beginners can easily get started. The 128 channel storage capacity can be said to be dominant in professional computers, and users can program each channel separately or program in groups to achieve automatic scanning and monitoring.
Motorola GM338 supports three frequency stepping options of 12.5/20/25kHz, with powerful programmable channel spacing function, facilitating channel upgrades.
Motorola GM338 supports two signaling communication protocols, MDC1200 and Quick Call II, and can choose between them at will. Advantages: Advanced voice compression technology ensures clear and loud voice quality, and the voice is loud and clear during communication. The optional recording circuit board can record and replay information for up to 120 seconds, making it convenient for users to save important conversations during communication.
